We have the cutest Zootopia party idea and activity for your favorite little animals. Since this fun craft idea is designed to transform your child’s face and eyes, we’ve partnered with the American Refractive Surgery Council (ARSC) on this post, part of a series of sponsored educational posts about options in vision correction.
The Zootopia party idea is inspired by the movie’s unlikely pair — the cute little, determined bunny, Officer Judy Hopps, and the fast-talking, scam-artist fox, Nick Wilde. Just imagine your little ones pretending to be Officer Judy or Nick in these adorable bunny and fox face masks.

Did you know that, for new mothers, decreased sleep and increased stress can lead to vision fluctuations from both dry eye and accommodative spasm? These are often treatable and should be evaluated by an eye doctor if it affects your daily life. For those new moms who are thinking about taking the next step and looking seriously into having LASIK, today’s sponsor, the American Refractive Surgery Council offers a few facts about LASIK and motherhood:
- Laser vision correction is typically safe 6 months’ post-partum.
- Hormonal changes during pregnancy can cause a temporary prescription change that may last for 6 months after delivery. For this reason, laser vision correction is not recommended for anyone who is pregnant or has been in the last 6 months.
- Importantly, if a woman has had laser vision correction, it will not have any negative effect on her vision during subsequent pregnancies.
- Surgeons typically recommend people wait approximately one month after laser vision correction before trying to conceive.
So, in the interest of keeping new Moms happy and making life a little easier, we hope you’ll hop to it, and make up these adorable facemasks. While you are at it, think about what you’d like to do for yourself today.
The American Refractive Surgery Council (ARSC) helps people make informed choices about their vision correction options and learn if they are a candidate for procedures like LASIK.
