One of my fondest memories, as a little girl, was smelling my grandmother’s freshly washed laundry. Although, we did have a washing machine, during the summer time, she’s hang them out on the clothes line. Where she would let our clothing and bedding dry in the California breeze and sunshine. I remember at bed time, the new set would be spread out over my bed. I would jump in after my bath, as my mother, gently tossed the soft sheets over my head. After repeating this several times, I would finally settle down to rest peaceful in my bed to fall asleep to their fresh scent.
I was blessed this month, to be selected, to review Purex’s Mountain Breeze Fabric Softener Sheets. As I opened my package, the scent immediately reminded me of the memory above. I loved the Mountain Breeze scent, so much, I decided to set out to find other ways to use them around my home.
1. Diaper Pail
After a diaper pail is used several times, it tends to smell bad, when it’s empty or full. Just place a dryer sheet at the bottom and it will keep your pail smelling nice around the clock. This works for wastepaper baskets through out you house. as well
2. Teenager’s
Whether or not you have a girl or a boy, if they are in sports, drop a Purex’s Fabric Softener inside of your teens sports bags, dirty clothes basket and in your car to combat after practice od0rs.
3. Odor Control
We all know sweaty feet equals smelly shoes at the end of each day place a fabric softer into your shoes and they will be refreshed for the next use.
4. Pet’s
Are you tired of always finding pet hair on your clothes? Fabric softeners are great hair magnets. Just rub the sheet over the area and it will pick up the lose hairs.
5. Bug Repellent
Surprisingly enough dryer sheets are a great way to keep the Mosquitoes away. So the next time before the kids go out to play tuck a sheet inside their pockets to eliminate those bug bits.
What but I have a few more . . .
Dryer sheets are great to use for washing shower doors, dusting, socking and cleaning dirty pots!

I had a friend who put them into the AC vents and would change them out every so often. I thought it was super strange but it really worked. Loved going over the day he changed them all out.

Those are some really great tips. I never thought to use one in my diaper pail. Will have to do this because you’re right. They do start smelling bad after a while. 🙂
