2. Kindergarten, Here I Come! By D.J. Steinberg and Mark Chambers

3. The Night Before Kindergarten by Natasha Wing and Julie Durrell

A spin on the classic Christmas story, The Night Before Kindergarten features all the kids in town preparing for the first day of school the following morning. The ones heading to Kindergarten are curious and maybe a little afraid – until they realize how much fun school really is!

4. Kindergarten Rocks by Katie Davis

5. On the First Day of Kindergarten by Tish Rabe and Laura Hughes

Another Kindergarten book that features a fun twist on Christmas – this time it’s a song! Follow along as the kids all experience fun new firsts in Kindergarten, like jumping rope and making new friends.

6. Clifford Goes to Kindergarten by Norman Bridwell

Emily Elizabeth is a little scared about her first day of Kindergarten. When her teacher says it’s okay to bring something from home to make the transition easier, she probably didn’t count on a big red dog coming into the classroom!

7. Look Out Kindergarten, Here I Come by Nancy Carlson

Henry thinks he’s ready for his first day of Kindergarten, but it’s another story when he arrives at school. Pretty soon though, he realizes it really is a lot of fun and enjoys his day! This book will help give that extra boost of confidence readers may need for their own first day.

8. Ready for Kindergarten, Stinky Face? by Lisa McCourt and Cyd Moore
