During the Holidays, who would have ever thought San Diego would be the home to a Winter Wonderland? To be more precise, I’m talking about Snow Days at Legoland. My family and I have seen how Legoland looks throughout the seasons, and we all agree that Christmas season is our favorite. The park is decorated with reefs, candy canes, and Christmas trees, made out of our favorite bricks, of course. So if you haven’t gone to Snow Days at Legoland, there are a few tips I have for you to reach maximum joy.

Pack an Extra Outfit For The Little Ones: The snow at Legoland imitates actual snow impressively, but is also just as slippery and wet. Joy had a blast customizing her own snowman and throwing snowballs and riding a sled down the mini hill that created for this event. Although, things did get a little hectic when other children tried customizing on the same snowman, so do be aware of other children playing in the same space ( which is why it’s best to make it there as early as possible ).
Stay Late For The Nightly Firework Show And Tree Lighting: Just like most things you’ll find at Legoland, the Christmas tree is also made out of a staggering amount of Lego bricks. If you decided to stay for the firework show and Christmas tree lighting, I guarantee you a beautiful night of holiday cheer.
Photo Opportunity with Santa: Right next to the beautiful Christmas tree is a Lego sculpture of Santa and his sled. It’s the best photo opp in the park during this time of year. I snap a shot with Joy and plan on using it as a holiday card.
Don’t Forget To Visit Duploland or Heartlake City During Your Visit: These are Joy’s favorite parts of the park, and they’re probably the two best places to bring toddlers. If you’re not familiar with Duplo, they’re practically Lego bricks made for littler ones, and in Legoland, there’s a small play area that’s dedicated to Duplo. Only a few steps apart from Duploland you’ll find Heartlake City, which happens to be one of Legoland’s latest additions. While it is branded more towards girls, the live performances and Lego building station can be very enjoyable for any gender.
Well, that’s all, for now, you guys, be sure to bring home a brand new set to build! I hope you have an awesome family day at Legoland.
