I’m remembered being so intrigued by Kia’s line of cars when they first hit the scene as the line evolved my curiosity to experience a Kia grew. This month Matt and I was sent a Kia Sedona to have for a few weeks to discover everything this luxurious minivan has to offer.
During our time we focused on all the top features that we loved about the Sedona. Now, I am not an expert, at all but as a mom, I wanted to share with you all of the features I appreciate that area available in the Sedona.
1) Middle passenger windows roll down midway
I’ve had a few minivans in my life and one thing that use to always bother me during the summer was not being able to roll down the side windows. Being the helicopter mom that I am, I always felt like it took the A/C too long to cool down the kid’s area.
???? Other features adore:
↪One of the KEY features we love about the Sedona sxl is the middle passenger windows roll down midway which not only allows a nice cool breeze through the car but opens a whole new world to Joy. She loved looking out the window during our many trips.
↪Automatic Sliding doors automatic sliding doors that can be turned off, and has a safety feature to protect your little cargo so the door will not close on them.
The automatic sliding doors also lock as the car is moving and all four of the back windows are tinted with built in sunscreens 2nd- and 3rd-Row window sunshades.
2) Surround View Monitor System
I’m short, so no matter what car I drive it feels like I have a significant blind spot, compared to taller people. So parking in a tight spot can sometimes be tricky. The Kia Sedona includes a Surround View Monitor system which offers a near all-around view that displays on the Navigation monitor. Displaying real-time images from four cameras, which provides a virtual ‘bird’s eye’ view and maximum convenience for parking and low-speed maneuvers.
???? Other safety features we value:
↪A Rear-Camera Display relays a live image of what’s behind your Sedona.
The Blind-Spot Detection (BSD) System that helps reduce the blind spots on the side and rear areas of your Sedona.
↪The Back-Up Warning System uses sonar sensors to detect obstacles behind your Sedona that may be beyond your line-of-sight
↪The parking assist system to assists the driver during movement of the vehicle by chiming.
3) Heated and Ventilated Seats
Although, we live in Los Angeles most of the events we attend are about an hour or more commute for us. Therefore, we spend a lot of time in our car even though we work from home. The seats in the Kia Sedona is so nice and comfy that we feel like we are driving a luxury car. Loved the front seats are heated and ventilated. On our recent trip, I wasn’t feeling well, and my back was killing me. I turned on the heat setting for my seat and feel asleep. It was so relaxing!
???? Other features we value:
↪8-Way Power-Adjustable Driver’s Seat so you can easily personalize your seating position for maximum comfort.
↪Cooling Glove Box
↪Smart Power Liftgate – Stand behind the Sedona with your Smart Key and the liftgate opens automatically for you.
4) Integrated Conversation Mirror
When Joy is sleeping in her car seat, Matt doesn’t like how sometimes her head will tilt forward. Therefore he’ll ask me “Hun is she sitting right.” If she’s not, he’ll reach behind and gently tap her leg and reminds her to lean back. We will do this routine several times in one car trip. The Kia Sedona has an integrated Conversation Mirror lets you monitor activity in the rear seats making it easier for us to check on Joy without the added distraction of having to turn our heads around
???? Other interior features we appreciate:
↪ 12 cup holders placed throughout Sedona with front cup holders feature a sliding cover for a clean look when not in use and front & rear door bottle holders.
↪The rear cargo compartment light is detachable and transforms into a portable flashlight. It will be recharged once returned to its storage dock.
↪3-Passenger, 2nd-row seating with fold down center console
5) Audio System
The Kia Sedona Infinity® Audio System includes a center speaker, subwoofer, and external amplifier truly brings your favorite music to life. Our boys loved listing to their music car and being able to take over the radio by just connecting their phones via Bluetooth.
???? Other features we enjoy:
↪ UVO eServices with 7″ Color Touch-Screen Display, Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay™, AM/FM/MP3/SiriusXM® Audio System
↪BLUETOOTH® Wireless Technology Hands-Free Connectivity

6) Two Preset Positions for Both the Driver’s
Finally, I prefer having my own car since Matt is so much taller them me. Every time he uses my car he readjusts the seats and mirrors. It drives me crazy, but he is over 6′ tall, so I know he is not doing it to irritated me. I sure this may be an issue in some of your homes too. But Kia solved this problem with their Integrated Memory System (IMS) which allows two preset positions for both the driver’s seat and outside rear-view mirrors.
7) Great Gas milage
Matt and I were impressed seriously impress on how far we went on a full tank. Therefore, I wanted to share with you two important technical features.
↪The Kia Sedona Active Eco System that proactively controls parts of the engine, transmission, and air conditioning to realize optimal fuel economy.
↪To suit your driving mood, Drive Mode Select (DMS) adjusts shift points and steering feels for a customizable driving experience.
Matt and I agree the Kia Sedona is our number choice in minivans. It has great gas mileage; it is room throughout adding comfort for the entire family making this a car for the whole family.
