I know this is a little too much information, but I think this topic needs to be discussed. After Joy was born, I suffered from Light Bladder Leakage (LBL). Every time I coughed, sneezed or laughed really hard, I experienced a light leak. That was very embarrassing. I even wore menstrual pads to manage my accidents. In time, by the grace of God, my pelvic floor muscles strengthened and my issue is now limited. However, so many women suffer from (LBL) every day.

Poise pads and liners
What causes LBL?

Although, no two women are the same, there’s no single reason why LBL happens. Here are some of the most common things that lead to uninvited leaks:

• Physical changes from childbirth, pregnancy, hysterectomy or menopause, being overweight
• Complications from surgery, stroke, or chronic diseases like diabetes, multiple sclerosis (MS) or Parkinson’s disease
• Bladder or urinary tract infections, Bladder irritants (certain foods and beverages)

What can you do if you have LBL?

Like many other women, I would use Feminine Pads to control my accidents. However this is a better way to manage LBL. Poise® pads and liners are designed specifically for Light Bladder Leakage (LBL). Plus, they help you stay fresh and confident!

For those of you that have been using period pads to manage your Light Bladder Leakage (LBL). I’m happy to let you know you can ditch that method and use Poise® products, instead starting with these free samples. So I thought I would share with you a simple way to put those extra pads to good use.

Here’s how to make an Ice Pack with unused Famine Pads:

 Supplies:

  • 2 Feminine napkins
  • 2 Cups Water
  • 1 Freezer Bag
  • 1 Roll of Tape
  • 1 Deep Dish

Instructions:

Step 1 – Unwrap the Feminine Pads leaving the adhesive strip on the back. Lay the Menstrual pads flat in a deep Dish and saturated the pads using the 2 cups of water.
Step 2 – Remove the adhesive strips and stick the pads together facing the backs toward each other.
Step 3 –Insert the pad into the 1 gallon sandwich bag by placing it flat inside of the bag. Making sure you go all the way to the bottom.
Step 4 – Let out all of the air from the bag and fold the bottom upwards and place top under the bottom fold. Then fold tape the ends together using the Scotch Tape.
Step 5 – Place the ice pack in the freezer and use when needed.

No matter if you call them feminine napkins, period pads, famine Pads or Menstrual pads! Let’s be honest, how have you recycle unused menstrual pads?

I have never heard of this idea before, but I like it!! Of course, I wouldn’t tell a man what it is made of!
This is also a great recycling idea. I also ordered the Poise sampler. It had a good amount of samples in a nice container – plus a coupon. THANKS for sharing both of the above!!

I made up this Idea on my own. My son like putting cool rags on his head. So I make this for him. It’s doesn’t leak every where. 🙂
