The television is the crown to every household’s living room and the beacon that brings many families together. Whether it’s two siblings fighting over the remote, a father and his friends enjoying some playoff basketball, or a family sitting down to catch the latest episode of America’s Got Talent; the television has brought people together; throughout history. Today’s story is sponsored by Vizio, all of the opinions are my own.
Recently, my family was blessed with the opportunity to review Vizio’s M50-D1 50″ Smart 4K television ( a mouthful, I know ), just a week after our last tv burned out after a long run. We were very excited because none of us had experienced 4k resolution until then, or any “smart” tv at all. In fact, setting up was a little challenge at first until we eventually became more familiar with it, I even suggested that the TV may be smarter than us, but that’s a whole other story.
After a day of grinding out hard work, the tv was there to help us blow off some steam within the comfort of our living room. Now, while the rest of us wanted to catch up on NBCs The Wall, Joy wanted to catch up on her games since she is such a serious gamer. ( not sure where she get’s that from ). So we played her show on the Vizio remote, which doubles as a 6″ tablet that you can use to stream Hulu, Netflix, etc. This feature soon became the peacekeeper of the family whenever someone didn’t want to watch what the majority of the household did. Since you can cast just about anything you’re watching on the tablet to the tv via it’s built-in Google Chomecast. Another added benefit to the built-in Google Chromecast feature is you can display your favorite show on Hulu, Netflix, and several other popular apps on your phone to the Vizio 4k Smart Television with the click of a button.
I believe Smart TVs are the way to go because cable television is slowly dying out, as much as I hate to say it. Most of us stream our entertainment through apps opposed to sitting through a bulk of commercials and advertisements. The Vizio 4k Smart Television simply makes your viewing experience better by having your favorite apps built into the tv itself.
If you hadn’t made the jump to a 4k or Smart Tv yet, I bet you’re skeptical about paying so much more for one, trust me; I was right there with you. But let me tell you, it is worth every dime. Not only is the Vizio M50-D1 Smart TV gorgeous, thanks to its dark outer-finish, but the display is phenomenal. In fact, the Vizio M50-D1 Smart TV has multiple display settings that pair well with what you’re trying to view, whether it’s cartoons, sports, or video games, the TV gives you many display options to enhance your experience. I feel the need to further elaborate on this because there have been times where TVs would have this feature, and it would only be a change in brightness based on what I wanted to view with this TV; you’re getting changes in saturation, brightness, contrast, and more.
I mean, guys, the Vizio M50-D1 has a mini tablet as the remote! Are you not impressed yet? I honestly have to say they had me at mini tablet. If you and your family are looking for a specific film or show to watch, you can search for it on your remote, and from there it will search through all of your apps and even on demand. If your family still can’t come to an agreement, the odd man out can watch whatever they like from the tablet or their phone while the rest of your family can cast what they want to watch from the tablet or phone. It works vice versa, thanks to the built-in Chromecast. Additionally, not only is the tv itself sexy but the 4k display allows any viewing experience to be jaw-dropping.
The Vizio M50-D1 50″ Smart 4K Television has become the centerpiece of the King family’s living room, and the window to pop culture, now allow it to be yours.
