Have you been to MIMI’S® lately? Years ago before Joy was born, I use to go there a few times a week for lunch. Back then, I didn’t really like that many things on the menu but I love the atmosphere. Fast forward 10 years later and MIMI’S has introduced several new items to their menu that is amazing.
Their newest addition to the menu will take guests on a flavor adventure. The Fresh Summer Catch menu offers a taste of the tropics with beautifully crafted seafood dishes accented with citrus, pineapples, mangoes and more. We had a chance to try everything on the menu and I wanted to share with you our top 3 choices on the menu.
1)Citrus Chicken Salad: Our favorite Item on MIMI’S® “Fresh Summer Catch” menu it includes diced lemon-grilled chicken, avocado, mandarin oranges, chopped walnuts and feta cheese tossed in red wine shallot dressing with mixed greens.

2) Tropical Shrimp Ceviche: Although this was ordered for the table I took one bit and didn’t want to share. I’m always a little worried about the Ceviche being too sour however you can really taste the shrimp and also the combination of pineapple and tomato is actually more of a sweet and tangy flavor instead of a sour bitter rendition. Plus and the shrimp was nice and plump as well. The Tropical Shrimp Ceviche Grilled has shrimp, Mimi’s handmade pineapple salsa, diced tomato, cilantro and fresh lime juice served with warm, house-made tortilla chips.
3) Summer Shrimp Sala includes two grilled shrimp skewers on a bed of mixed greens with grilled pineapple, mandarin oranges and strawberries finished in red wine shallot dressing. To be honest our group did prefer the Citrus Chicken salad over this one, however, my son Houston stated “this is really good, surprisingly filling and some I would have for lunch regularly.
Other Items on the menu include Hawaiian Mahi-Mahi a seared mahi-mahi topped with Mimi’s handmade pineapple salsa, served with green beans and rice.
For dessert, we had their Key West Lime Pie and Pineapple Upside-Down Muffin which were both delicious.
Overall MIMI’S is a wonderful place to take the entire family. What more’s their children’s menu is design to please even the pickiest eater. Which allows mom and dad to enjoy their dinner in peace.
