I have to admit, I’ve spent hours trying to master the Angry Birds game but I couldn’t figure it out. However, I am crazy about the Angry Birds Movie. It is a hilarious movie with a beautiful storyline that we can all relate too no matter if you played the game or not.
In the 3D animated comedy, The Angry Birds Movie, you’ll finally find out why the birds are so angry.
The movie takes us to an island populated entirely by happy, flightless birds – or almost entirely. In this paradise, Red (Jason Sudeikis, We’re the Millers, Horrible Bosses), a bird with a temper problem, speedy Chuck (Josh Gad in his first animated role since Frozen), and the volatile Bomb (Danny McBride, This is the End, Eastbound and Down) have always been outsiders. But when the island is visited by mysterious green piggies, it’s up to these unlikely outcasts to figure out what the pigs are up to.
I was blessed to attend the red carpet premiere of “Angry Birds Movie” at the historic Regency Village Theater in Westwood Village located in Los Angeles, California. The afternoon was filled with fun, games, and appearances from some of the hottest celebrities in Hollywood.
On the Carpet:
Characters dress at the Red, Yellow and Black Angry Birds greeted the stars as they made their way down the fiery red carpet. The backdrop was decorated with a gigantic slingshot and across the way was a piggy bullseye.
Since I know I’m not very handy with Slingshots, I made my way off to the right of the display to a lifesize birds cage with exotic birds. Where experienced a wow moment as I held a bird in my hands for the first time.
At the Party
After seeing the advanced screening of the film, guests were guided to a carnival themed party lined with delicious food trucks, classic carnival games with Angry Bird prizes and a petting area for the birds
It was a treat meeting Jason Sadkadis who plays the leading role as the Red Bird in the Angry Birds Movie. He also stars in my favorite tv show “The Last Man on Earth”.
Before, I ended my day I stopped at the photo booth to take a wacky Angry Birds picture.
Thank You Sony for inviting me!
