To be honest, I started 2018 not sure what God plans were for me. Since attending my very first red carpet for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, in 2014. I’ve felt like, my career been a bit of a fairy tale, despite some of the challenges I have faced. This year, after, lifting my plans up to God to be able to continue to build the site and create the vision that I have to launch a few exciting new services. He sent me a confirmation in the form of Pixie Dust.
I’ve been invited to an extraordinary event hosted by Disney, Marvel Studios & Disney/Pixar exclusively for their top Bloggers in Los Angeles from Sunday, January 28th – Wednesday, January 31st! 24 beautiful influencers and I, are blessed to experience an epic adventure that includes. . .
Us venturing into the depths of Wakanda by attending the red carpet premiere of Marvel BLACK PANTHER and interviewing some of the stars from the film! The film follows T’Challa who, after the death of his father, the King of Wakanda, returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation to succeed to the throne and take his rightful place as king. But when a powerful old enemy reappears, T’Challa’s mettle as king—and Black Panther—is tested when he is drawn into a formidable conflict that puts the fate of Wakanda and the entire world at risk. Faced with treachery and danger, the young king must rally his allies and release the full power of Black Panther to defeat his foes and secure the safety of his people and their way of life.
Ok, Wakanda is a fictional location. However, Black Panther is the first black superhero in mainstream American comic books. He debuted in Fantastic Four #52 (July 1966). As an African American mother of two college-bound sons, who are huge comic book fans, is it big deal in our home that Marvel is bringing his story to life on the big screen.
Next Up,
We will celebrate Walt Disney Signature Collection release of LADY AND THE TRAMP (available on Digital 1/20 and Blu-ray 1/27) with a delicious Italian dinner and learn how to paint a “Lady and the Tramp” themed painting.
The 1955 original Disney animated classic follows a pampered cocker spaniel named Lady (Barbara Luddy) whose comfortable life slips away once her owners have a baby. When, after some tense circumstances, Lady finds herself on the loose and out on the street, she is befriended and protected by the tough stray mutt Tramp (Larry Roberts). A romance begins to blossom between the two dogs, but their many differences, along with more drama at Lady’s household, threaten to keep them apart.
Ok, guys, Matt’s Italian, his favorite Disney Classic it Lady the Tramp and the first meal he made me was a spaghetti dinner, which was his way of recreating his favorite scene in the film. So I am, can’t wait to paint him a “Lady and the Tramp” themed painting.
