Attending the premiere for Marvel Studios first black superhero was an opportunity over and beyond my wildest imagination. The star-studded event was as grand as a banquet at Buckingham Palace. Which made me feel as if I was at a soiree hosted by the new King of Wakanda.
I was invited to an all-expense paid trip to Los Angeles courtesy of Disney to attend the #BlackPantherEvent & #ABCTVEvent in exchange for my coverage. No other compensation was provided. All views shared are completely my own.
The entrance of the purple carpet was decorated with a large Black Panther that looks as if it was cut out of stone ad it was surrounded by green foliage. As I walked through the magnificent structure, I felt as if I was entering a secret location. 
The most historic night of Marvel history was hosted in Los Angeles at the iconic Dolby Theatre where the Oscars are held. The night was filled with special guest appearances Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, Janelle Monáe, Donald Glover, Issa Rae, Lena Waithe, Jamie Foxx, Usher, Tessa Thompson, Kumail Nanjiani, Yara Shahidi, David Oyelowo, Elizabeth Banks and George Lucas. However, Chadwick Boseman entrance on the carpet was suited for a king!
As an added bonus to an already incredible night. I had an opportunity meeting the beautiful star of Disney next film a Wrinkle In Time, Storm Reid.
I read the book over the summer and can’t wait to see this film. Although my interaction with her was brief, she has a lovely personality and I look forward to following her career.

In addition to meeting Ms. Reid, I was in awe of the stunning outfits the cast was wearing.

Us venturing into the depths of Wakanda by attending the red carpet premiere of Marvel BLACK PANTHER and interviewing some of the stars from the film! The film follows T’Challa who, after the death of his father, the King of Wakanda, returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation to succeed to the throne and take his rightful place as king. But when a powerful old enemy reappears, T’Challa’s mettle as king—and Black Panther—is tested when he is drawn into a formidable conflict that puts the fate of Wakanda and the entire world at risk. Faced with treachery and danger, the young king must rally his allies and release the full power of Black Panther to defeat his foes and secure the safety of his people and their way of life.
