My Most Embarrassing Moment with Matt #AlwaysDiscreet #Ad

I really can’t believe that I have 2 handsome sons, one who is going into college, another in his last year of high school and an adorable little girl in preschool. Although I am incredibly thankful for being blessed with three children, I have to admit my body changed after giving birth to each one. Today’s story is sponsored by Always Discreet, however, the opinion and feeling expressed in this post are my own.

After my oldest son, JJ, was born, I noticed that sometimes when I sneezed, I felt a slight discomfort that required me to change my undies. At first, it did not bother me because it seldom occurred. Nonetheless, by the time my daughter, Joy, was born, I found myself sometimes having to wear a menstrual pad to protect myself from minor bladder leaks.

What’s more, I was extremely embarrassed and did not even want to tell my husband Matt about my unpleasant situation. I remember one night I was on a romantic walk on the beach with him and he began telling me a funny story about something that happened at work. As his story progressed, I started to laugh uncontrollably, and that is when my secret came out.

My mood quickly changed, and I asked Matt if we could go home. He looked at me dumbfounded and calmly said: ” Baby, what’s wrong?”. Although I was horrified with tears in my eyes, I whispered, “I have to change my pants.” As Matt began to laugh, grabbed me in his arms and said “Baby it is ok, you gave birth to three kids. It is only natural for these type of thing to happen.” Then he kissed me on the forehead, and we went home.

Even though my husband was so understanding about what happened, I still felt self-conscious. So, for years, I just played it safe and wore panty liners or menstrual pads. After all, my bladder leaks were minor, and I didn’t feel that I needed adult diapers, per se. However, to my surprise, I discovered there is a much better way for me to manage my situation that I wanted to share with you.

I have to admit when Always Discreet reached out to me, I was not sure if I was ready to get this personal on my site. But when I started to think about my struggles, and how unaware I was about the different products available, I decided I had to muster up the courage and share my story.

Before I discovered Always Discreet, I was using menstrual pads to protect myself from bladder leaks. But, I was using the wrong product. Although using menstruation pads did protect me from leaks, since the fluids and odors are different they were not as effective as using Always Discreet pads.

There are so many benefits to using Always Discreet:

1) Always Discreet pads can hold as much as 4x more fluid than menstrual pads. Therefore, I’ve found that I stay dried and they last longer.

2) Since I can smell anything from a mile away, I tend to change my menstrual pads immediately. However, Always Discreet’s OdorLock™ technology helps trap and neutralize the odors specific to urine. That’s something menstrual pads don’t have, and it keeps me smelling fresh.

3) My biggest issue was the leaks that would often happen even when I wore menstrual pads that had wings.  However, Always Discreet pads have full-length Dual LeakGuards™ that help stop leaks where they happen most for me right in the leg area.

Talking about incontinence issue is not easy,  Always Discreet offers feminine, discreet bladder leak protection products that can enable women to live their lives to the fullest and without compromise and a offer a website with tons of resources to help you.

Why is period Protection all wrong for bladder leaks?
