First, I would like to thank all of you who have been with me since my very first press trip with Walt Disney Studios for the Strange Magic Event. Since then, God has blessed me with so many exciting experiences that have been beyond my imagination.
This month, I was surprised by an invite for another amazing Disney adventure. I would love for you to join me and 24 other amazing sites as we cover Disney’s new film, “Queen of Katwe “, starring Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o (“12 Years a Slave”) and David Oyelowo (“Selma”) from Sept. 19 to 21.
“Queen of Katwe” is based on Tim Crother’s book of the same title. It is the vibrant true story of a young girl from rural Uganda whose world rapidly changes when she is introduced to the game of chess. As a result of this and the support she receives from her family and community, she is instilled with the confidence and determination she needs to pursue her dream of becoming an international chess champion.
