Storks deliver things, right?
What do they deliver? Well, don’t you remember? It is a tale told many times over. The details are plain and simple. Do do you remember? I know you do. Okay here is what Storks deliver. They deliver… Wait, I’m not going to spoil the surprise.
What I can tell you is what I unexpectedly learned about some of the cast of the “Storks” movie from my interviews with the stars & voices, producer, writer and directors. Join the delivery process and find out before the movie hits theaters on Sept. 23.

Balancing Act
Kelsey Grammer spoke on how he handled his fatherly role while working in the theater in Buffalo, New York. Although life wasn’t balanced for him, he made it work.
“With my first child, I took her to rehearsals with me a lot of the time. And she would sit in her little–it was called then a Maxi Taxi. This was 35 years ago. The Maxi Taxi was the first sort of semi-portable baby seat. It was pretty cute. But because I was on a theater schedule, I also took her with me to the bar after the show, you know? And she’d sit on the bar and sleep there while I’d have my chicken wings. ” ~ Kelsey Grammer
Lasting Friendships
The people you meet at work often become long lasting. Steven Glickman spoke about how doing shows as a comedian led him to many lasting friendships.
“I started doing stand-up about, like, 15 years ago and … [would] hang out with comedians, it’s like a show that never ends, because you see them every week… And I feel like about 10, 15 years ago is when I started finding my little group of folks. I met my girlfriend that way, at a comedy club and we’ve been together five years and have our dogs… Two of my best friends are comedians and we’ve been friends for about 15 years.” ~ Stephen Kramer Glickman
Parental Representation
Families are represented in all shapes, sizes and types throughout the movie. Writer/Director Nicholas Stoller and Producer Brad Lewis shared their thoughts about the film.
“I’ve always said, I think for parents, because that’s obviously the perspective I was coming from, this movie is a love letter to parenting and it’s a celebration of family.” ~ Nicholas Stoller
“The great thing about families, family comes in all shapes, sizes, every sort of orientation, every sort of racial–every culture, right? So, it was super intentional for us to be universal and make sure that everybody sees this movie as it’s an inclusive, family oriented movie.” ~ Brad Lewis
Life Is Bigger
One thing that stuck out to me was Adam Samberg’s thoughts on his childhood. He talked about how once he moved away from the town he grew up in Berkeley California, he discovered that life was much bigger than his surroundings and that the world is made up of different cultures, backgrounds and family dynamics.
“I think it’s especially important for a movie that a lot of kids are going to be watching to see that represented. I think that’s happening more and more, which is incredible. And you’re seeing new generations of kids growing up where that’s the norm.” ~Adam Samberg
I was overjoyed to have learned so many things just from the interviews, and it was great to hear the story behind the story.
