Looking to host a summer movie night this season? Why not entertain your guest poolside? Hosting a summer movie night poolside is a great way to gather family and friends together, plus it gives you an opportunity to create a few special memories with the kids.
I put together a few tips to help you host a fantastic summer movie night
Tip 1 – Fun Decor
Turn your pool area into an island paradise by furnishing it with bright colored inflatable chairs, beach balls, and Tiki Torches. Decorate the area that you will be serving the food, with leis, beach pails, and a beachfront backdrop. We created a Tiki Movie Man decorations to help you complete the look and feel of your party.
Tip 2 – Finger Foods
Serve foods that are quick and easy to prepare that will remind your guest of a night out at the movies such as corn dogs, mini pizza, wings, and popcorn.
Tip 3 – Family Friendly Movie
Picking the perfect movie for your party is not always the easiest task. I put together a list of my top 5 summer movies available on VUDU, a service included with my Walmart Family Mobile Plan. VUDU offers hundreds of top movie titles that you can stream directly on your tv making it simple for you and your guests to pick a movie everyone will enjoy.

1) “Zootopia” is fun and colorful and possesses great lessons behind all the glamor. Disney’s latest hit also offers a monkey barrel full of laughs, along with a fun night out with your family and friends.
2) “Kung Fu Panda 3” this movie proves that sequels aren’t always worse the then original. My family and I have seen the entire series, and we think it’s actually better than the first. While you don’t have to be a child to enjoy the action-comedy, you can learn great morals from it as well.
3)”The Good Dinosaur” is a heartwarming story about friendship and has several key messages that children can learn, such as overcoming one fears.
4) “Miracles From Heaven” is a true story that shows us nothing is impossible, and it may be the most family-friendly film of 2016! However, this one is certainly a tear jerky so make sure you have a ton of tissue ready for your guests.
5) “The Finest Hours” is a perfect movie if you are hosting a summer movie night for an older audience. It’s a very inspiring true story film that reminded us of the morals and values we all should have as humans.
