3 Reason’s to Never Go Into A Grocery Store Again #GroceryHero

Recently, Matt went back to work, and I’ve had to take on all of the daily household responsibilities. From driving our son to school, to even taking out the garbage, I do it all. Don’t get me wrong; I am grateful God blessed him with work. However, this year, I started homeschooling my daughter Joy and I have honestly become overwhelmed with all additional tasks, especially when it comes to doing the grocery shopping.

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Walmart. The opinions and text are all mines.

I guess it does not help that I truly dread the thought of going to a supermarket because it is so time-consuming. Plus, it doesn’t help that Joy wants to grab everything she sees. Recently, we were out shopping for headphones for her brother when she had a temper tantrum once she realized I wasn’t buying her anything. As I was standing in the electronics aisle comparing the different headphones they offered, she pulled a pair off the shelf. I thought she was being helpful, so I took them out of the cart and put them back on the shelf.

After, I made my selection we walked to the front of the store and stood in the checkout line. When Joy looked in the cart and asked, “Mom where are my headphones?” And I said, “I told you we were shopping for your brother today.” That’s when she spun out of control and began screaming at the top of lungs, “Buy me headphones NOW.” I was so embarrassed with her actions. I just gave her stern look, quietly made my way to the checkout stand and completed my purchase of one pair of headphone. Needless to say, she complained about me not purchasing her anything the whole time I was completing my transaction and at the end of the day, I did not care. The bottom line was we there to buy something for her brother, and not her. The whole incident just reiterated why I don’t enjoy grocery shopping, until now. This month, I was introduced to Walmart’s Online Grocery Pickup and I have to say, I don’t think I will ever walk into a grocery store again. So I thought I would share with you three reasons you will never need to go to a grocery store again.

Do you have a busy schedule?

Walmart’s Online Grocery Pickup is so simple to use. I ordered my groceries online while Joy slept and scheduled a time to pick them up. When I arrived at the store, a Walmart personal shopper greeted me and loaded everything into my car, making this service an absolute time-saver.

Have you ever experienced a meltdown at a store with your child?

I think it’s safe to say, most of you reading this post have experienced it at least once. What I love most about Walmart’s Online Grocery Pickup is that I do not have to leave my car. Which means if my daughter is with me, I don’t have to take her into the store. Hence avoiding another meltdown, throwing random items into my cart or asking to go potty several times during our shopping trip.

Do prefer to shop online to make most of your purchases?

I know I do. When I made my first online purchase using Walmart’s Online Grocery Pickup, I noticed the pricing was comparable to the prices I’ve seen in the store. What’s more, there is no additional charges for you to use the service. I love this service and couldn’t stop talking about it and I really think you should try it out.

Plus, first time users can use promo code WOWFRESH for $10 off.
