Here’s Three Life Lessons Kids Will Learn from Mary Poppins Returns

Everyone Does Chores

There were many scenes that displayed the three children of Michael Banks ( Ben Whishaw ) performing various chores.  They completed many tasks to help with keeping their home functioning. In one of the earlier scenes, the children are helping to clean up water due to a busted water pipe.  No one complained, they simply got right to the job! They were told to go to the market to get food for dinner and to make sure that they kept an eye on their youngest brother, Georgie, who still manages to get himself into mischief.  Parents and adults were no exception to the rule as they tackled their share of responsibilities around the house too!

Respectful to Adults

Mary Poppins shows a lot of dialogue amongst the children and adults as with real-life families.  At times Annabel, John and Georgie would over hear conversations that they were not intended to and as kids do, they would ask questions.  Even while being inquisitive they were respectful by listening, asking appropriate questions and being quiet when they are told too.

The Power of the Imagination

Mary Poppins is enthusiastic, colorful and full of life.  It visually takes you on a journey where anything is possible.  The eclectic nanny is brilliant in teaching life lessons through adventure and make-believe scenarios.   For kids watching, they should walk away with a mental imprint that there is no limit to their imagination.
