My mother passed during my childbirth, and I came into this world never having the opportunity to look into her eyes. That lack of physical connection with one’s mother could be devastating to an infant. However, I was blessed to have a grandmother that swooped in like superwomen to help my father raise me. When I grew up and understood what she sacrificed, I wished I could celebrate her being my mom every day. Since she is no longer with me, I celebrate her memory by make gifts for my friends with kids.

Today’s Spa Day Gift Set craft is sponsored by Pampers at Sam’s Club, however, all thoughts shared are my own.

Do It yourself Spa Day Gift Set

Sam’s Club and Pampers think that moms should be celebrated more than just on Mother’s day, too. So, this year they are offering something special Moms who shop at Sam’s Club by giving them nearly a full month of instant savings on two staples – diapers and wipes from Pampers.
Right now, you can get $5 off Pampers diapers and up to $5 off Pampers wipes.  (Note: this deal is not valid on Pampers Pure diapers or wipes.)

Step 1 – (Washcloth – Using a 3″ x 3″Black Glitter Vinyl apply to the self-grip mate cutting mate with the shiny side facing up and load into your machine. (Please note turn on the mirroring option when printing out your vinyl piece). Then, gently remove your image from the board and clean the excess piece using the scraper tool. Next, remove the negative space (all the piece that are not part of your design) from the vinyl using the weeder.

Step 2 – Next preheating the area of the washcloth you will be adding the lettering by ironing the location for 15 seconds or so. Then, lay the washcloth design on the preheated area with the shiny side facing up and iron-on the letter for about 15 seconds or more. Finally, flop over the piece and iron the area for an additional 15 seconds or so. (Please note double-press the lettering really helps the transfer adheres.) Then, peel off the transfer sheet and you’re done with this piece of our set.

Step 3 – Cut out a 5″ 1/2 by 5″ 1/2 sheet of silver glitter vinyl for the water bottle design and a 4″ by 4″ sheet of silver glitter vinyl for the flip-flop design. Then using a weeding tool, remove the extra vinyl from both pieces. (I find that it much easier to remove the extra vinyl if I keep the backing paper attached to my mate.)

Then, apply transfer tape on top of the vinyl design by cutting a cut a piece of transfer tape that is a bit larger than each design. Next, peel the backing paper off the tape and place it sticky side down on the top of each design. Using the scraper tool or side of a credit card, press the transfer tape onto the vinyl to make sure it complete sticking to each design. Then, peel the transfer tape backup making sure the vinyl is sticking to your desired surface.

Step 4 – Using hot glue apply your pink bows to the top of each Flip Flop.

Wrap up your gift with ribbons and a coordinating tote bag and present to a special mom, any time of the year.

P.S If the mom you are giving this gift too has a “baby on board” don’t forget to remind them that they can purchase  Pampers at Sam’s Club.

Don’t forget to pin our DIY Spa Gift Set on Pinterest so you have it for later.

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Pampers at Sam’s Club. The opinions and text are all mine.
