In collaboration with Paramount to celebrate their upcoming film Sherlock Gnomes in theaters March 23rd. I created a Ballerina Garden Gnome made from ceramic pots. This cute craft can be used as a Sherlock Gnomes Party Idea, craft activity for a garden themed playdate or homeschool art project.

 Here are the materials for our Sherlock Gnomes Party Idea ~ Ballerina Garden Gnome

– 12 Small TerraCotta Pots
– 2 Medium TerraCotta Pot 
– 20-Gauge Bare Copper Wire
– Stainless Steel 1/4-Inch Flat Washers
– Scissors or Wire Cutters
– Acrylic Paint
– Color Tulle Assortment
–Twine Cord Hemp Rope
–Color Glitter Glue
–Spanish Moss  Or Flowers
– Red, Brown and Black Felt
– 9″ by 9″ Fabric of Your Choice
– Rhinestone Applicator
–Rhinestones
–Adhesive Back Craft Jewels
– Singer 00485 High-Temp Glue Gun
– Hot Glue Sticks 4 In. Mini Size

Instructions for our Sherlock Gnomes Party Idea ~ Ballerina Garden Gnome

Step 1) Create the top by folding a piece of fabric of your choice in half and cutting out the neckline and body. Then turn a medium terracotta pot upside down and glue your top to the pot using a hot glue gun.

Step 2) Next decorate the top with a design of your choice using the rhinestone applicator and rhinestones.

Step 3) Then paint 2 small terracotta pot pink to create the feet for your ballerina once they dry use the glitter glue to decorate the feet in a design of your choice.

Step 4) While the feet of your ballerina is drying create a tutu for your Ballerina Garden Gnome ( click here for instructions on making a handmade doll tutu). Once you complete the tutu add rhinestones using the rhinestone applicator.

Step 5) Next create the bracelets to your gnome add jewels to 2 small terracotta. Then using a medium terracotta pot make the face and hair of your gnome using felt, and stick on jewels.

Step 6) Final build your Ballerina Garden Gnome ( click here for a how-to video please note I built my gnome using 20-Gauge Bare Copper Wire and
Stainless Steel 1/4-Inch Flat Washers)
