I was blessed to attend a special event on June 17th at DreamWorks Studios in Los Angeles, Ca for DreamWorks Animation’s all-new Netflix original series DINOTRUX debuting on August 14. As part of this event, my expenses were paid by the studio, and all opinions are my own.
DINOTRUX’s welcome young and old into a world of giant creatures that are half dinosaur, half truck, and all awesome. The event was kicked off with an advance screening of the first two episodes of DreamWorks Animation Television’s all-new Netflix original series. I loved the series, and I look forward to watching the series with my daughter, Joy. I know she is going to fall in love with Ty Rux, a massive Tyrannosaurus Trux, and his best friend Revvit, a razor-sharp Reptool.
We continued the day by having lunch with the animators. I personally had an unforgettable opportunity to sit and talk with DINOTRUX Co-Producer “David Kidd”. We talked about our kids and what inspired him to pursue his profession. He is an amazing person full of knowledge, and although we were there to discuss the show, he provided a few valuable pearls of wisdom on parenting and working toward the route less traveled.
Next we continued our day with some prehistoric fun, DinoTrux style by voice recording your own DinoTrux character! Surprisingly it was a bit challenging trying to stay consistent with the correct time and with the right vocal expression. However, after my experience I would not mind going after a career as a voice-over talent.
Below is the finished piece of my voice over session at the event.
Story Synopsis:
The Dinotrux and Reptools join forces for the first time ever to build a bigger, better world and battle back against the biggest and baddest of all: D-Structs, who threatens to wreck everything they’ve built.
Thank You to DreamWorks and Netflix for inviting me to a very memorable day.

This looked like it was so fun to be a part of. Dinotrux looks adorable and something that my son would like.
