On September 26, 2013, we had the opportunity to take our daughter Joy and her friend Anna to see the “Doc McStuffins” Mobile, at the The Grove in Los Angeles California. As we stood in line to enter this *FREE family event we all grew excited about entering the world of Doc McStuffins and beginning our adventure.
Before, they could begin seeing their Patients for the day, both Dr. Kann and Dr. King had to get dressed in the appropriate attire. A Disney Junior Event Staff was front and center, to help them get ready. Dr. Kann was given a white lab coat and stethoscope to wear and Dr. King decided to stay cool and just wear an official Doc’s magical stethoscope ( brought from home).
Once inside Doc Mobile, we checked their height, to see to see who would be in charge of all surgeries for the day. Dr. Kann won by a few inches and since she has been working on patients for awhile now, we thought it would be a good idea Dr. King to assist today.
Both Dr. Kann and Dr. King was very please with all of ‘the amenities at the work stations.. Their first patient, Mrs. Purple Flower Bearing, told them she’s been having trouble sleeping and her feet were sore. So, Dr. Kann took her temperature , weight and checked for any torn threads. After giving Mrs. Bearing a complete check up, Dr. Kann and Dr. King diagnosed their patient with an extreme case of Mommytoepolos and prescribed a perfect prescription for her symptoms.
After a long morning in the office, they decided to go outside to catch some sun and have lunch. However, right outside the Doc Mobile, there was a little yellow bus that needed emergency assistance. Being, that there was limited available room in the Doc Mobil, the staff had directed them to a work area that was fully equipped with everything needed for them to preform a successful surgery.
Mr. Yellow Bus was so pleased with their awesome work, he took them to a healthy lunch. While they waited Dr. Kann did some coloring, played with stickers and learned about how to create a healthy meal.
Once their visit was done with Mr. Yellow Bus, they decided to call it a day, but, not before Dr. Kann stopped at “Lenny’s Hydration Station” to play in the water and learn the importance of drinking water.
At the end of our wonderful day, the girls received goodie boxes filled with items to help them continue their adventure at home. Their Doc McStuffin swag consisted of a book, water bottle and several other great items.
