Boog the bear and Elliot are back on DVD in Open Season: Scared Silly. To celebrate the DVD release we created this cute activity. Our Open Season: Scared Silly Finger Puppets Activity is perfect for a homeschool craft, birthday party activity or to use to just entertain the kids.
Materials for Open Season: Scared Silly Finger Puppets Activity
- Brown, tan, light pink, and white felt
- Brown pipe cleaner
- Brown, black, or white puffy paint
- Craft googly eyes (optional)
- Scissors
- Hot glue gun/hot glue
- Printable template
*supervise small children as this does contain small pieces
Directions Open Season: Scared Silly Finger Puppets Activity
1. Cut out your the small pieces from your template
2. Fold your brown and tan felt in half and trace and cut out your bear/deer body onto your felt to make four pieces
3. Now trace and cut your bear/deer belly from your white and tan felt
4. Trace and cut out your deer ears, deer face, bear face and inner bear ears from your tan felt
5. Trace and cut out your deer inner white ears from your white felt
6. Trace and cut out your large bear ears from your brown felt
7. Fold your brown pipe cleaner to look like antlers
8. Now hot glue your bear and deer features on like so
9. Outline the second half of each animal with hot glue, leaving the bottom open for your fingers
10. Press your bear and deer front onto the second half
11. Now you can either draw on your faces with puffy paint or glue on your eyes and use the pink felt for noses
12. Now you can have a little puppet show
