Recently, there was an announcement for a new Power Rangers game that has mighty morphers all over the world excited. Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid is currently available for pre-order on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Steam, and it pits all of your favorite Rangers and villains against each other. Those who pre-order will receive a Green Ranger v2 character skin, and the game will be available for digital download at $19.99. Meanwhile, the Digital Collector’s Edition will be available for $39.99 which includes the season pass (which will consist of three more fighters).
nWay, the developers behind the new Power Rangers game and the popular mobile game Power Rangers: Legacy Wars, recently elaborated that Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid and Legacy Wars will be two separate entities. Furthermore, the game will be cross-platform and cross-progression meaning that if you own a PlayStation, you will be able to compete against players on different consoles and save your progress if you decide to buy the game for another console.
Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid is an easy to learn but hard to master fighting game. The game will feature old and new Rangers and villains that have appeared in the Power Rangers multiverse. The game plays as a team fighter, meaning you’ll pick a team of three Rangers to face off against another group of three. Furthermore, new content and game modes will be released throughout the year to keep players happy and occupied.
Personally, I think for $19.99 if you’re a Power Rangers fan there’s no way you can pass up this game. The developers seem to care about the Power Rangers IP and the community of morphers, so I think the game is worth obtaining. From the trailer we got (posted above) the gameplay looks like a lot of fun and should get some attention this April when it finally releases.
Go Go Power Rangers!
