Last week, I was blessed to attend a dinner reception at world famous Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School in Hollywood California. I consider myself some what of a foodie, therefore, it was a treat dinning of dishes inspired by THE HUNDRED-FOOT JOURNEY. In the movie Hassan Kadam (Manish Dayal) is a culinary ingénue with the gastronomic equivalent of perfect pitch. Displaced from their native India, Hassan and his family decides to settles in the charming village of Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val in the south of France. Where they open an Indian restaurant, Maison Mumbai next to Le Saule Pleureur’s a famous Michelin-starred eatery. Which creates a heated battle between the two establishments. Until the owner Madame Mallory, recognizes her rival’s (Hassan Kadam) undeniable brilliance for preparing masterful meals.
The night ended with delicious Mango Lassi Mavarian, Chocolate Mousse and Madeleines. The Mango Lassi was delicious and I would love to find it at one of our local restaurants. I’ve been known to travel hours away just to try a highly rated location.
During Le Cordon Bleu Dinner Reception we were given a cooking presentation by one of their skilled Master chefs on how to prepare Beef Bourguinon a La Hassan and Mango Lassi Mavarian. I plan on attempting to make both of these for Matt in the near future.
I thank Walt Disney Studies and DreamWorks for blessing me with this opportunity and I thank you fans for taking time to read this post. Stay Tune for my review of the . . . .
