Kung Fu Panda 3 Food Idea ~ Panda Cookies

‘Kung Fu Panda 3’ is theaters now and to celebrate, our team thought it would be neat to create a ‘Kung Fu Panda 3’ food idea.  Our Panda Cookies are adorable and pretty easy to make.  If you are throwing a ‘Kung Fu Panda 3’ themed party, our Panda cookies are easy to make and adorable.  They make great party favors or you can make them as a fun treat for the kids on a movie night.

You will also need to make our Kung Fu Panda 3 food idea

  • Black fondant
  • Black food marker

Royal Icing

  • 3 cups confectioners sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 2 tablespoons almond extra

Directions for Royal Icing 

  1. Mix all your ingredients well and pour into a decorating bottle

 

Homemade soft sugar cookies- 

2 Cups flour

1 Cup sugar

1 egg

1.5 Sticks softened butter

1 tablespoons vanilla

Pinch of salt

Directions-

Preheat your oven to 325 degrees

1. Mix together your sugar, butter, and salt

2.  Add in egg, and vanilla and beat

3. Add in your flour 1/2 cup at a time until mixed

4. Roll out your dough onto a piece of parchment paper (your gonna want it pretty thick, 1/4″ inch)

5. Use your large round cookie cutter to cut a circle

6. Now on top of the circle, cut out 2 smaller circles for ears with your small circle cookie cutter

7. Peel away your dough scraps and carefully press your small circles onto your large circle

8. Move these to your parchment paper lined pan

9. Cook for only 7 minutes and then let cool

How to assemble Kung Fu Panda 3 Sugar Cookies 

1.Use your Royal icing to outline your panda cookies

2. Then fill in your cookies with the icido it yourself kung fu panda 3 cookiesng

 

3. Set your cookies in the fridge for about 30 minutes to let your icing hardenpanda cookies

4. While your cookies are in the fridge, roll out your black fondant thin

5. Use small circle cookie-cutter’s or the top from your spice containers to cut out circles for the eyes and ears

6. Now cut out small triangles for the noses

7. Place these pieces onto your iced cookies

8. Now with the black food marker and draw on a mouth underneath the nose

9. To finish off your cookies use a dot of your royal icing on top of the eyes
