See that picture above? Yes, that one, with the girl in the middle surrounded by three beautiful Kids . That’s me with our two boys ages 13 & 15 and our little baby girl who is truly a blessing from God.( seriously, I never thought in a million years God would bless me with a her. They are the main reasons why I started this company.) (my husband of over 20 years is taking the picture)
For most of my life, I enjoyed a successful career in marketing as an Account Executive. But the long hours away from my boys started to take a toll on me. I felt, that I was missing out on my kid’s life. So in 2004, when my youngest was to start kindergarten, I gave up the corporate life to start my own marketing firm. Where I developed marketing campaigns for a wide range of industries, one being the Wright Place TV Show, a business show for women.
However, in 2008 being hit by a terrible economic downturn. I closed my companies doors and was blessed to take a position as an Interactive Media Accounts Executive, for AT&T internet advertising department.
After two and a half years in being in my new position, like many people, I found myself unfortunately unemployed. However, although this was a very scary time. I took this as an opportunity to start a new business. I wanted to create a place where people could just relax have fun and shop a bit for an adorable outfit. While learning about new products and services in an entertaining way. I told my Father about my idea and of course, him being my biggest fan, encouraged me to move forward with it. In 2011, before my dad passed away, God open a door for me to launch MyCouportiera.
Now, when I’m not searching for interesting products or planning the next great online event. I’m helping build my husband and mine Social Media Marketing Company, doing homework with the boys or just holding my sweet daughter in my arms.
