In the mists of a very busy summer, to my surprise, we’ve discovered a wonderful tool that I truly think is the Ultimate Gift Registry. Yes! That Gift allows users to create a free gift registry for any type of occasion. Gifts can be registered from dozens of stores while maintaining a single online gift list. Today’s story is Sponsored by Yes! That Gift, however, all opinions are my own.
Joy’s birthday is right around the corner so used Yes! That Gift to build a gift list to include in my invites. To my surprise, Yes! That Gift or YTG for short was easy to set up and you can build your registry fairly quick from the comforts of your home and then share the completed list with your friends, family, and relatives who may not be able to attend your event.
How it Works:
Yes! That Gift works a bit different than most online gift registry systems. Unlike other registries, guests aren’t sent to the merchant’s website to purchase the desired gift (which typically requires knowledge of the registrant’s shipping address and product preferences such as size, color etc.), nor do they need to ‘report back’ what they purchased. Instead, guest can simply purchase gifts directly from your list by browsing your selection, clicking the buy button right on the gift list and entering their credit card information. There is no need for guests to navigate through third-party websites and they aren’t required to know your shipping address or product preferences. All these details are all handled by the site directly with the registrant.
Creating your List
Signing up for Yes! That Gift is completely free and takes less than 2 minutes. To sign up, enter your email address at www.yesthatgift.com and follow the instructions on the next screen to enter your name and the title you’d like to give to your gift list. What I love the most about their system is only the gift list registrants need to sign up, guests purchasing gifts do not need an account.
Gifts can be added from dozens of stores
At Yes! That Gift you aren’t limited to a single store, gifts can be added from dozens of participating merchants (with more added all the time). The flexibility doesn’t stop there, you have full control throughout the entire process, both before and after a gift is purchased. Once a gift is purchased, the system notifies you by email and you can choose where you’d like to have it shipped or select any product preferences such as size, color etc. And if you decide you no longer want that gift you opt for a merchant gift card of equal value, allowing you to purchase any other item instead (this choice is not shared with the guest).
Additional Features Include:
- Multiple Lists: Users can create multiple gift lists and manage them all under the same account.
- Privacy Settings: Registrants can choose to limit access to their gift list by hiding it from search results, restricting access with a pincode or taking their list completely offline
- Page Design: Registrants can customize their gift list by choosing a background pattern and uploading a profile image.
- Social Sharing & QR Code: Lists can be shared via social media and a QR code can be printed or downloaded to be included in event invitations.
- Website Embed: Gift lists can be embedded in third party websites using the code provided. This allows registrants to include their list directly on an event’s website without guests needing to leave the site.
