I’ve been blessed to give birth to three beautiful children. However, I have several friends that wanted children dearly yet God had different plans. Many of them decided to become a blessing to foster children giving them a safe haven to grow and prosper.

When Pete (Mark Wahlberg) and Ellie (Rose Byrne) decide to start a family, they stumble into the world of foster care adoption. They hope to take in one small child but when they meet three siblings, including a rebellious 15 year old girl (Isabela Moner), they find themselves speeding from zero to three kids overnight. To celebrate the theatrical release of Paramount upcoming film “Instant Family”, in theaters on November 16th. My family spent the afternoon with La Mamacitas and several other families doing a special community project.
By the grace of God, my daughters’, been blessed to experiences and receive gifts that were honestly above her parent pay grade. Therefore, this season, I wanted to take time do something with her that gives back to our community. The day was filled with sweet treats, laughter, and rolls of wrapping paper as we kicked off the holiday season wrapping gifts for kids who are currently in the Foster care system.
After we wrapped gifts we made Christmas gifts for Joy’s grandparents and Godparents. Joy made a cute ornament, this time I didn’t micromanage her and I let her do it completely on her own. As Matt and I decorated picture frames, using stickers, rhinestones, and other items. We plan on taking this year’s family Christmas photo and will add the picture to each frame.
I know the holidays can be filled with a very hefty today list. However, I encourage you to find an none profit that you support and give even if its just a $10 toy. Your efforts will be appreciated more than you could images. Also, as you look for a movie to take the kids to see this season, I encourage you to see Instant Family.
