The week of February 16 is always a tough day for me because it’s my dads birthday. Since his passing, it’s always been a bittersweet time of year. However, this year, God blessed me with so much work, my mind was too occupied to be sad. As a matter of fact, the moment I had a little downtime to think about it, I received a beautiful invite to an exclusive event hosted by Disney/Pixar.
I am off to Monterey
From March, 7 – 8, I will be in Monterey with 24 other amazing women for an early look at the film release of “FINDING DORY!” I’m super excited about this trip since one of my all time favorite Disney films is “Finding Nemo” because Nemo’s overprotective father “Marlin” reminded me of my Dad.
Story Synopsis
“Finding Dory” takes place six months after Finding Nemo, and Dory suddenly recalls her childhood memories. Remembering something about “the jewel of Monterey, California” accompanied by Nemo and Marlin, she sets out to find her family. When she arrives at the Monterey Marine Life Institute, she meets Bailey, a white beluga whale; Destiny, a whale shark; and Hank the octopus, who becomes her guide.
Disney•Pixar’s “Finding Dory” reunites everyone’s favorite forgetful blue tang, Dory, with her friends Nemo and Marlin on a search for answers about her past. What can she remember? Who are her parents? And where did she learn to speak Whale?
We’re off to Find Dory!
During my trip, I will see selected footage from “Finding Dory,” and attend a reception and behind-the-scenes VIP tour of the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Plus, we are scheduled to do interviews as well. At this moment, I have no clue who we will be speaking with but I really hope one of them is Dory aka Ellen DeGeneres.
