Make learning fun for your child. My husband and I have been homeschooling our daughter,Imonni since she was in Tk. Friday’s are a fun day for us. Each week we play various educational board game. Today’s story is brought to you by The Game Plan Game. All thoughts are my own.
Usally the games help reinforce what she’s learning in math, reading or spelling. However, this week we discovered a great game that we are using as a social studies lesson.
The Game Plan Game (TGPG), addresses everyday teachable moments to normalize conversations around safety and flexible thinking through the medium of a board game. TGPG creates a safe space to foster conversations around topics such as personal safety, social skills, and good manners through an engaging play experience.
Justin and I found it engaging and the activity was a great way to teach necessary social and life skills.
The game was created by moms, business partners and entrepreneurs Ellie Kanner and Lisa Solomon. Ellie Kanner a Los Angeles local who by trade, has been a casting director (for shows like Friends, Sex and the City, Drew Carey Show), and is currently a film/TV producer and has directed Hallmark movies.
