One of my favorite parts from my recent “Queen of Katwe” press trip was when I met with some of the cast and crew of ABC’s hit show “The Real O’Neals”. We also got to visit the set, which was a real honor since my family and I had fallen in love with the show.
When we arrived on set, we were greeted by Matt Shively (“Jimmy O’Neal”) and Bebe Wood (“Shannon O’Neal”), along with some of the crew who gave us a tour of the set. During the tour, I discovered some neat fun facts that I thought I would share.
Here’s 3 Fun Facts about the set of the “The Real O’Neals”

Christmas is Coming
1) On our visit, the set had just been decorated the weekend before for Christmas, and the actors were seeing it for the first time with us.
Day Dream
2) Noah Galvin (“Kenny O’Neal”) daydream sequences are done on a green screen.
It’s UpStairs
3) The site is designed in two parts. The bottom floor (set one) has stairs that lead up to nowhere, and the top floor (set two) has matching stairs that go down into nothing, giving the illusion of a two story house.
