I truly can’t believe that I have one child going into college and the other starting her first day of TK ( Pre-Kindergarten). I must say despite the big age gap; I still worry about my oldest son, JJ, as much as I did when he was his sister age and I only want the best for him. Therefore, when it came time to select a new bed for his room Matt, and I decided we wanted a bed that was not only affordable but durable enough to carry him through his through college years.
Today’s story is Sponsored by Helix Mattress, all thoughts are my own.
For year’s our son complained about how uncomfortable his twin bed was and often encountered sleepless nights. Since his dad and I have experienced the difference between sleeping on a standard mattress compared to a memory foam bed. We knew how much it improved our daily productivity. Although we liked the bed we owned, we decided to research a few other mattress lines and discovered Helix mattress. Although they are not made of memory foam, what we initially loved about this line of bed is each mattress is individually designed, custom built, and personalized to you. What’s more, we could order it with our son from the comfort of our home which was perfect since we all have busy schedule and Helix shipped the bed directly to us.
Upon ordering, the website asks for his height, weight, sleep preferences to create the perfect bed built just for him. After completing the short survey, Helix determined that his bed should be soft instead of firm. Therefore JJ’s bed was made with less elasticity because of his weight and the fact that he sleeps on his stomach. I found the entire ordering process for Helix mattress very simple, and their attention to detail to make sure that his bed perfect was very assuring of my decision to go with Helix.
The bed didn’t take very long to ship, and it arrived in a cool, navy blue box with white polka dots and the company’s logo on it which gave me an early sense of luxury for the product. Inside the box was the uninflated mattress wrapped in a ton of layers of protective wrap, so I knew not to expect any damage throughout the shipping process. As soon as the final layer of plastic wrap came off of the mattress, it began to inflate, and the inflation process only took roughly 40 minutes, which is phenomenal compared to the competition, which usually takes much longer to inflate.
From the ordering process to the shipping, everything I’ve experienced with Helix is suitably quick. The last thing I want my son to worry about as he’s headed to college is wondering when his mattress will arrive, and if it will be worth the hassle of a long and difficult unboxing, which isn’t the case with Helix.
So far, my son has fallen in love with his Helix mattress. His sleeping schedule has been fixed; he tells me his back pains are slowly diminishing, and altogether he feels liberated. The mattress fits perfectly in his room and is always ready for him to crash on after he’s finished a long day of work. I couldn’t imagine choosing a different option for my son as he prepares for this brand new era in his life. Everything about Helix screams quick, comfortable, and worth your money.
