The Guys in Blue Celebrate National Ice Cream Month by Surprising Residents
With Free Frozen Treats Across SoCal from July 17th through Labor Day
WHAT: In 1984, President Ronald Reagan designated July as National Ice Cream Month, recognizing ice cream as a fun and nutritious food that is enjoyed by 90 percent of the nation’s population.* Since nothing beats a cool, refreshing ice cream on a hot summer day, the SoCal Honda Dealers are dispatching their Helpful Honda Free Ice Cream truck filled with a tasty assortment of *free* frozen treats for everyone!
The ice cream truck and the Helpful Guys in Blue will be stopping at various community activities, parks, sporting events, and concerts every week through Labor Day, September 7th, to surprise unsuspecting residents with free ice cream.
And the Free Ice Cream Truck may show up at your event, too!

Helpful Honda Guys BRING Random Acts Helpfulness BACK TO SCHOOL!
Help Students Move into Colleges across the Southland Surprise Fans & Honda Drivers with Perks & Game Day Essentials at USC & UCLA Football Games
Helpful Honda’s Random Acts of Helpfulness will score a touchdown once again this fall for students and dedicated fans of the city’s favorite rival sports teams: UCLA Bruins and USC Trojans! The Helpful Honda Guys will be on hand at USC & UCLA football home games to surprise fans and Honda drivers alike with some exciting, and very helpful acts of helpfulness. From coveted Dream Seat upgrades and shuttle services, to complimentary parking for Honda drivers and more; spirited attendees will be touched with many exclusive benefits including:
- @UCLAAthletics: Surprising attendees with upgrades to the coveted Dream Seats; sending golf cart and shuttle service to pick up fans; providing complimentary parking for Honda drivers; and distributing game-day essentials such as lip balm and misters.
- @USC_Athletics: Helping keep Hondas clean with complimentary car washes; delivering fans to the stadium in custom chariots; ensuring cell phones are charged with Helpful Honda charging stations; and hosting free bags checks.
To celebrate Move-In week at USC on August 25th, 2015, the Guys in Blue also brought Random Acts of Helpfulness to some lucky students. Helpful Honda guys paid for random students’ books for the entire semester, surprised a student with complimentary parking for fall, and completely furnished a dorm room! One special USC student and decorated Veteran was also surprised with season tickets to USC Football games, to give them another reason to cheer and say thank you for their service
And the helpfulness continues for students at other college campuses. The Helpful Honda Guys are assisting students by moving items into their dorms, offering helpful dollies, pushing carts, and also handing out thousands of complimentary laundry bags for the new school year. Students are being helped from O.C. and L.A. to Riverside and San Bernardino Counties through the end of September –including UCLA, UC Irvine, UC Riverside, Cal State LA, CSUSB San Bernardino and many more!
