Growing up on a farm, I “hated” working in the field, so I would always find an excuse to go into the house and cook. Determined to get out of the field, I taught myself how to cook. One year, our berry bushes had a huge crop, so I learned how to make pies and jam. The taste was unforgettable.
Years later, at an event where a vendor was selling “homemade” jam, I got excited and tried it. Unfortunately, the taste wasn’t what I remembered, so I decided to make my own jellies and jams.
