After a long week of working it’s satisfying to get to finally unwind with your family at a place that serves humble French-inspired cuisine. Every weekend my family and I like to go out to eat, and this week we picked Mimi’s Cafe. The overall look of Mimi’s Cafe was rustic and homely and successfully gave my family and me a sense of hospitality.
This post was sponsored by Mimi’s Cafe; However, all thoughts and options are my own.
The staff was very kind and helpful when they served us; the atmosphere was nice and warm truly getting us into the holiday sprite. I liked the variety on the menu; there seemed like there was something for everyone to enjoy.
Before my family and I ordered we shared a few appetizers, my favorite of the ones, we tried being the Trio of Appetizers that came with Artichoke Dip, Chicken Tenders, and Fried Zucchini. The staff told us it was a fan favorite and after trying it, I’m sure that’s the case.
For dinner, my girlfriend and I shared the Chicken Tillamook Mac and Cheese and the Cheddar Bacon Burger with one another.
I feel like I’m obligated to try any burger that a restaurant throws at me, so I tried Mimi’s, and it did not disappoint. The fries that came with it were nice and crispy, and the burger itself was cooked at a perfect medium just like I asked for, on top of the fact that the portion was pretty generous. As for the Mac and Cheese, I personally thought it was solid, simple but bursting with flavor.
My mother opted to try something from their breakfast menu and fell in love with the Corned Beef Brisket Hash & Eggs stating “that their corn beef was amazing and the best she had compared to other restaurants in our area”.
My dad, Matt, tired their Roasted Chicken Croque Monsieur which is sandwiched with pulled roasted chicken and caramelized onions on grilled sourdough topped with Mornay sauce and Swiss that includes French Fries, Mixed Fruit or Petite House Salad.
For dessert, we had Pumpkin Muffin Sundae. A seasonal spiced pumpkin muffin, with pumpkin seed, crumble warmed then topped with French vanilla ice cream and drizzled with Fosters sauce.
Overall, my family was very pleased with the results and service from Mimi’s Cafe, and we plan on going again in the future if we can actually decide on where to eat ( help me ). Mimi’s Cafe has a substantial menu coupled with a soft and cozy environment that invites you to settle in. The food is delicious and didn’t undercut any of us on portions, and the service was excellent. I would recommend Mimi’s Cafe to any family, as it’s a great option for a family night out.
Mimi’s has introduced a menu with more than 20 new items, showcasing simply prepared, house-made, French-inspired American comfort food. The menu features new dishes like Provencal Veggie Pasta and Chicken & Shrimp Jambalaya, plus new mix-and-match combinations so guests can enjoy more than one favorite dish per visit. So this Holiday, bring your family to Mimi’s Cafe for breakfast, lunch or dinner!
Until Next Time
