If you are a mompreneur, like me each new year is a chance for a fresh start and an opportunity for growth. It’s the perfect time to create a list of New Year's resolutions that will make a positive impact on your life. If you're thinking about revamping your life, here are three different types of New Year's resolutions to consider: Social and Relationships, Health and Wellness, and Community Involvement. These resolutions are a great way to make a change in your life and bring about positive transformation. Let’s dive into the different types of New Year’s resolutions to help you get started.

Each new year brings about some form of change, even if you still work at the same job and live with the same people. Annual changes can occur as large transformations or minor adjustments. Either way, something in the new year shifts.

Creating New Year’s resolutions commemorates the occasion’s time for transformation. It allows you to take control of your life and strive for a positive difference. It also gives you a purpose to work toward. Here are three different types of New Year’s resolutions to think about as you strive for change in the upcoming year.

Social and Relationships

Relationships and connections influence many aspects of our lives. They affect our support groups, lifestyle, and happiness. Many people aim to enhance their social life and relationships in the new year, from reconnecting with long-distance and life-long friends to dedicating more time to loved ones.

As a parent, think about enhancing your family bonds. There are many ways to build strong family connections, so implement regular family outings in your schedule, start a new tradition, or support family members in their various commitments. No matter what relationships you work on or how you choose to improve your connections, the new year is a great time to reflect and enhance your social life.

Health and Wellness

Health and wellness goals are the most popular types of New Year’s resolutions. Like social goals, there are many forms of health and wellness resolutions to implement in your life. Some of the most popular ideas include:

  • Changing your diet
  • Creating a new workout discipline
  • Scheduling those long-avoided checkups
  • Seeing a therapist and counselor
  • Joining a gym membership or fitness program

Better self-care improves many aspects of your life. Change how you look after yourself in the new year with some wellness resolutions and shifts.

Sadly, though, many people set themselves up for failure by setting unachievable goals and focusing too much on restriction. It is far better to focus on changes that can be sustained for the long haul and enable you to enjoy a better quality of life. The switch to decaf coffee, for example, allows you to see the health benefits while still enjoying the great taste of coffee. Besides, it’ll also keep you away from calorie dense alternative beverages.

Similarly, when thinking about exercise, you must take your routines into account. The harsh reality is that, if there is a battle between finding time for the gym or getting your work done, fitness will be the first thing you sacrifice.

Community Involvement

Community involvement provides many benefits. It makes you feel impactful and good, enhances your surrounding atmosphere, and spreads joy. A healthier community gives back more in return. For example, there are countless reasons to send flowers to your loved ones or others in your community. It brightens people’s day, spreads positivity, and shows that you care for them.

Nowadays, many people feel alone despite there being over a billion people on this Earth. Showing others that someone is thinking about them and that they matter makes a huge difference in their lives. Sometimes it even saves lives. Other community involvements to consider for next year include volunteering, shopping locally, and performing random acts of kindness.

These three different types of New Year’s resolutions provide you with various ways to implement a lifestyle change along with the transition into a new year. No matter how you choose to switch things up, commemorating the new year with a promise and transformation goal allows you to make the most of the upcoming year. As time changes, growth comes along with it. Help yourself grow with a New Year’s resolution.
