Ok, I have to admit one of my favorite things to do with my kids during the holidays is going through the various toy catalogs that fill our mailbox. It’s become such a tradition in our home even my son’s ages 17 and 20 will flip through the catalogs with their sister Joy. However, this year one particular guide caught our eyes.
I have been compensated in the form of a Best Buy gift card in exchange for this post, but opinions are 100% my own.
Best Buy Holiday Toy Guide is here and my daughter, Joy, made it a point to look it over a few times with her dad, then she showed both of her older bothers her selection. Before, informing me of her long list of items for Santa.
Here a few items that she wants under the tree this year that are available in the Best Buy Holiday Toy Guide.
Joy love to cooks and I am always looking for fun activities that I can incorporate into our homeschool lesson plan. Therefore, Osmo Gaming system for the Apple iPad. With easy setup and a universal design, this Osmo gaming system is ready to work with any iPad in just minutes making the Osmo – Genius Kit combined with Osmo – Pizza Co. Game Add-on my top pick from her list of circled items.
Ok, I haven’t met a child who doesn’t love Hatchimals. This summer, Joy received a few mini Hatchimals at an event that we attended and she’s been asking for a larger plush electronic pet. The reason most kids love Hatchimals because they enjoy the anticipation of waiting for their egg to hatch. I know Joy will like interacting with the speckled purple-and-teal egg, and helping with the hatching process to reveal what’s inside. The surprise of seeing which plush electronic pet you get is part of the magic of this Hatchimal toy. (As I wrote this post I actually added the toy to my shopping cart and definitely plan on purchasing one for her this year. )
One item that is featured in Best Buy Holiday Toy Guide that we already have is Seedling Parker the Augmented Reality Bear. We were blessed to attend the launch party for this toys and Joy received one as a gift. Joy loves caring for this Seedling Parker augmented reality bear and I like that she learning too. It activates AR effects on a mobile device via the Parker app for interactive doctor play, and it can also be played with on its own. This cuddly Seedling Parker augmented reality bear comes with toy doctor tools for exciting pretend play.
Joy even took the time to point out a few items for her Dad (Matt) and her older brothers. For Matt, she picked out the Sphero – R2-D2™ App-Enabled Droid™. Matt is a huge Star Wars fan and he has wanted one of these little Droid for a few years. Delight the Star Wars fan in your family with this Sphero R2-D2 app-enabled droid. Made to resemble the iconic Star Wars character, this fun robot features authentic LEDs for realism and a motion sensor that detects your presence and reacts. An integrated speaker on this Sphero R2-D2 app-enabled droid lets him ‘boop’ and ‘beep’ in his own special language.
Her brothers J.J King and Houston grew up building LEGO with their dad (Matt). Although they both much older, they still buy kits to build together. Therefore, they will be happy with any superhero themed LEGO set Santa leaves them under the tree.
