When I was little my favorite movie was The Pinchcliffe Grand Prix a Norwegian stop motion–animated. I remember watching it over and over again wondering how are they making these little figures move. From that day forward I watched every stop motion film that came out.In Laika Animation’s new film ” The Boxtrolls” surpass any other stop motion film, I’ve ever seen.
I am simply amazed with how the creators we’re able to capture every movement within the very detailed set. As I watched the movie. I could see pieces of cloth blowing, eyes we’re blinking and mouths were moving. I apologize in advance for being a little too excited about this master piece, but who wouldn’t be? The animation is jaw dropping and it defines how a perfect stop motion film should be, with an additional touch of color and art. With all of this being said, it’s truly safe to say the work and time put into creating The Boxtrolls is remarkable making this the must see family film this FALL.
