Looking for ways to keep your family safe? Many apps communicate with your security system, provide location tracking, and more to help you keep your child and other family members safe. The world can be a dangerous place, but keeping track of and protecting your family from the world’s dangers has never been easier than with your handheld device.

What are the Benefits of Using a Family Safety App?

Parents are always concerned about their children’s safety. And with the rise in cybercrime, it is essential to be aware of the potential dangers lurking on the internet.

The benefits of using a family safety app are:

  • Protecting your child from online predators and bullies.
  • Ensuring that your child is not viewing inappropriate content.
  • Keep an eye on your child’s location at all times.

Safety is a concern for everyone, especially when you have children.

Here are some apps that can help keep you and your family safe. Some are free, and some require a subscription to use, but they all offer something different to help keep you safe.

Life360 Family Locator

This app is excellent for families who want to stay connected and safe at the same time. It allows parents to set up zones where the kids can be without getting alerts if they go beyond those zones. It also lets parents see where their kids are on a map, so they know exactly where their children are at any given moment.

Nextdoor

When it comes to keeping your family safe, sometimes you need to get the word out fast — and that’s exactly what Nextdoor does. You can use this app to send out a safety alert, like if you see someone suspicious, or post a warning about a neighborhood crime.  In fact, a recent Nextdoor product launch included updates meant to foster better neighborhood connections. This means you can easily join or create private Safety Groups for things like carpooling and play dates with your neighbors.

Mspy

Mspy is a cell phone monitoring app designed for parents to help monitor their kids. The app lives by the motto, “Think before you act, ” which encourages parents to know first and talk later. To achieve their objective, Mspy provides an in-depth look into your child’s cell phone life. They offer location tracking to help you keep your children safe via GPS. It monitors calls history and SMS to see who they reach out to; internet monitoring so that you can limit the websites they visit; ability to read their correspondence on social media; blocking unwanted apps, and alerts for unusual behavior.

Norton

Norton Security app, an all-in-one security solution, is designed to secure your Android devices against viruses, unsafe apps and settings, unwanted calls, and other malware.

Qustodio Child Tracking App

Qustodio Child Tracking App is the easiest and safest way to protect your child while surfing the internet. It protects children from inappropriate content and limits time spent on apps and games. Secure browser protects your kids with a safe internet filter so they can only access age-appropriate websites, apps, and games. Qustodio also tracks your kids’ location on a map to see where they are at any given moment, and when anxiety sets in, you can check their location.

eyeZy

EyeZy is a mobile monitoring service that lets you know what your kids are doing online and who they’re talking to. It notifies you if inappropriate websites or content are being accessed and sends real-time messages when predefined words or hateful language get used in messaging apps or social media, such as “I hate myself” or “I hope you die.”

Kaspersky

Your family is your most important asset. Their electronic devices are their lifeline and a window into the world. Kaspersky Safe Kids helps you protect their digital lives, and our apps are available for Windows and Mac computers as well as Android, Apple, and Amazon mobile devices.

Kaspersky is a security app for smartphones and tablets that helps protect your family’s privacy. It can track locations, lock settings, and even send alerts if you suspect bullying or harassment on social media.

Mcafee

McAfee Family Protection 2.0 is a powerful tool for PC and Mac computers to keep your children safe online. The software allows you to customize filters and settings to match the age of each child and filter out age-inappropriate material. You can also schedule computer time according to your family’s needs or even halt all internet activity with one click.

Conclusion

Keeping up with your family is a full-time job. It can also be expensive if you need to purchase costly equipment or an app that doesn’t meet your expectations.
