As a child, one of my favorite characters was Paddington Bear. I use to love reading about all of his adventures. Fast forward, 30 years later I am blessed to share my love for Paddington bear with my daughter Joy.
Hosted by Warner Bros. Pictures
Joy and I started off the new year by attending an advance screening of Paddington 2. Now that he has settled in with the Brown family, Paddington the bear is a popular member of the community who spreads joy and marmalade wherever he goes. One fine day, he spots a pop-up book in an antique shop that would be the perfect present for his beloved aunt’s 100th birthday. When a thief steals the prized book, Paddington embarks on an epic quest to unmask the culprit before Aunt Lucy’s big celebration.
As I was watching the movie with Joy, I noticed it held her attention, and she was able to follow the storyline. Overall the Paddington 2 is a beautiful movie to see with the whole family, and there are few lesson kids can learn.
Here are 3 lesson kids can learn from Paddington 2
Don’t Judge a Book by Its Cover
Paddington finds himself in a sticky situation that isn’t his fault and instead of people taking the time to discover all of the aspects around the situation they jump to conclusions. That Unfortunately lead to a few unfair circumstances for Paddington. However, in time as the story unfolded those who judge him learned the truth.
If You Look for the Good in People, You will find it
In the movie, Paddington is warned by others to stay away from Knuckles. However, instead of listening to their advice, he decided to approach him with respect and respect. Which brought out the best in Knuckles and help change his perspective on life.
3 The ultimate lesson in the film is…
As Paddington Aunt Lucy’s would say “If we are kind and polite we will make everything right”. Throughout the film, there are several examples of Paddington living his life by this mode. I believe it will teach kids a great lesson on the importance and effects of being kind to others.
