I grew up watching Full House with my family, so when I found out we would be interviewing the cast of GrandFathered, I was overjoyed. I was able to attend this event because Disney/Pixar, Disney Channel, and ABC sent me to Los Angeles on an all-expenses-paid press trip in exchange for my coverage, all opinions are my own.
Although Grandfathered is a new show, I honestly already had it marked as my favorite in Hulu before being receiving the invited to interview the cast. I was intrigued by its original storyline. Plus I a big fan of both Josh Peck and John Stamos work. Having the opportunity to speak with the cast and taking a tour of the sets was surreal. During the interview, I discover 6 fun facts about the cast of Grandfathered that I wanted to share with you. I hope you enjoy them and please feel free to share with our friends.
Confidence Is Key – One thing John Stamos likes about his role playing a grandfather, is working beside an amazing co-star that is not afraid of lplayinga role as a grandmother although she is in her forties.
“Here’s a woman on television, who’s single, in her mid-forties, and she’s not afraid to play a role as grandmother. I think women across the United States will love this, and we picked that best actress for the role”. John Stamos
Let’s Pretend – Since the lovely and talented Paget Brewster isn’t a mother or grandmother in real life she liked the idea of playing the role on tv. Before the audition, she figured the role would go to a younger actress.
I thought, assuming the worst about Hollywood I auditioned thinking, “Well, I’m not gonna get this. They’re gonna hire a thirty-two-year-old blonde chick and pretend she’s in her mid-forties.” It’s like that’s TV in Hollywood. Then at the auditioned we had a blast. I hoped it worked out, and it did. ~ Paget Brewster
No Kids Yet – Josh Peck plays an amazing young father on Grandfathered, however in real life he does not have kids yet he wants to enjoy being an uncle first.
People keep asking “Are you getting a baby soon?” I’m like I want to be an uncle. So I can love them, have fun with them and then hand them off. I love the girls that we found to play the roles as our play our daughter it’s hard not to fall in love with them. ~ Josh Peck
Balancing Act – Although Christina Milian is a busy working mom, she truly values time with her five-year-old daughter and makes it a point to find time for her.
It takes a village to raise a child. My mom and my sisters are very helpful as well as I do have a nanny. Without having them around to help me since I am in the studio filming full time, doing promotions and working on my music, it would be difficult. But I do make time with my daughter Violet by bringing her to the studio when she is not in school or taking time to spend with her. ~ Christina Milian
A Greater Cause – When Ravi Patel is not working on the set of Grandfathered he spends a lot of his time on his company “This Bar Saves Lives” and nutrition bar company started by a group of other celebrities. For every bar sold the company gives a packet of life-saving food to a child in need. (Click Here For More Information)
Great Energy – Kelly Jenrette loves working with the entire cast and is thankful for being part of such an amazing team.
We do get unfocused at times but it’s such a great energy on set. We really do like each other. ~ Kelly Jenrette
