With movies like Spy, Mission Impossible, Uncle, and James Bond surfacing this year, spy movies have become somewhat of a trend in 2015. While all of the titles I just mentioned are more action or comedy based, Bridge of Spies offers an entirely different experience. Tom Hanks does a fantastic job as usual, and the film is shot beautifully from start to finish. Bridges of Spies is the type of movie you’d want to see during a date night; you’re welcome to bring the young ones, but I’m not sure of how much they’ll be able to process out of the flick. Depending on who you are, there are many different reasons as to why you would think this movie is phenomenal, but today, we will be going over three of the reasons I think you too will appreciate it.
Let’s Get Into It! please feel free to share with your friends by clicking on the share buttons above.
The Important Morals And Inspiration: They’re not obvious at first, but after analyzing what you watch, you realize that Tom Hanks character fought for what was right even though a vast majority of people showed hatred for his decisions. Furthermore, we’re given an insight of how America and it’s people handled the hostile situations Tom Hank’s role had to go through during the Cold War. And lastly, it tells us that everyone is a human being, regardless of where they live and what they stand for.
Historical And Educational Values: I feel like the most efficient way to learn is visually. If you’re a history teacher going over the Cold War this is a film you need to share with your students, heck, you could even give them extra credit for going out to see this. Just have them bring a ticket for proof. I was introduced to the living conditions of the people of Berlin, and how close minded the American people used to be.
Shot To Perfection: The camera work in Bridge of Spies is superb. If you’ve been paying attention to my previous movie reviews, you would know that I have this weird obsession with how crisp and clean movies are shot. In this case, Bridge of Spies fulfilled my needs, I was sent on a journey to Berlin, and even duller places like a jail cell still looked fantastic. Honestly, you all need to see for yourself; it’s like moving art.
Overall, going out to see this motion picture is incredibly beneficial. It’s Tom Hanks, guys, it isn’t Soviet Union rocket science. Bridge of Spies will take you on visual adventures, and it is one of my favorite renditions of the 1950s. If you’re a history nerd, don’t hesitate to buy a ticket and enjoy yourself, make sure you bring a friend or loved one.
Until Next Time.
JJ King.
