I was blessed to attend a special press junket held at Walt Disney Studios for Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron. During the junket, I discovered five neat fun facts about the cast of Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron that I am sure you will find as interesting as I did.
STORY SYNOPSIS:
Marvel Studios presents “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” the epic follow-up to the biggest Super Hero movie of all time. When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry, and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow, and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to The Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure.

Comic Relief
Growing up, James Spader “Ultron” was not allowed to have comic books. Therefore, he was only able to catch up on his favorite heroes and villains when he stayed the night at his friends’ home. As stated by Mr. Spader, “Comic books were like candy for me. I just devoured whatever I could get my hands on because the sleepover was going to be over and I was going to go back to my house and it was going to be, you know, Kipling.”
My Super Hero
Australian born actor, Chris Hemsworth plays the mighty Thor in Marvel’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron”. His childhood super hero was Superman due to the fact, that the Man of Steel was the only comic book character with his own film.
Join the Team
Aaron Taylor – Johnson “QuickSliver” and Elizabeth Olsen “Scarlet Witch” worked together on the set of Godzilla. As stated by Aaron Taylor – Johnson, “It was comforting to know that stepping on the set with such a big ensemble and cast.”
No Bikes Allowed
Scarlett Johansson was pregnant during the filming of Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron. So she was not actually riding a motorcycle during the daring scenes. Instead this eye catching, spellbinding movie magic was created by having her ride a mechanical bull type of motorcycle, which went nowhere and didn’t look as cool.
Mean & Green
How was Mark Ruffalo “Dr. Banner” able to make such a distinct character from the Hulk? Well it was easy as Mark States, “I was helped out by the fact that I’m green, and huge, to help me with the distinction between the two characters, so I can’t take full credit for that, except for the accent that I was using”

Out of the fun facts, I liked hearing that Scarlett was pregnant during filming. I also love Thor. I am looking forward to seeing James Spader as Ultron. I love him in The Blacklist. I also liked hearing that he couldn’t have comic books at home and would read them at his friend’s house. I too couldn’t have comics or cats at my house and so I tried to spend the night with my friend Connie, who had a playroom with hundreds of comic books and about 40 cats. I loved staying with her as often as I could. She liked coming to my house, but there were no cats, baby kittens or comics. My mom did have stacks and stacks of Coca-Cola and we could drink all we wanted.
