Isn’t it the perfect idea to eat healthy, while spending less, and saving time? If you’ve been looking for the best way to achieve this lofty goal, you are in the right place. Achieving this goal is easier than you might imagine. Here are 5 tips to get started.

Stock Up on Healthy Frozen Dishes

Whether you’re new to eating healthy, cheap, and in record time, or if you’ve been at it for a while—you know the drill. Shop for great healthy frozen foods. Compare prices between your local stores such as Costco and The Grocery Outlet.  By taking a critical eye to costs, you can fill up your freezer with healthy foods that are grab-and-go. In many of the discount groceries, items change from day to day or week to week. Use this to explore different brands and keep an open mind.  Look for items that you can use for a snack, lunch, or dinner. After a short time, you’ll have items such as:

Frozen Tamales. Use a steamer, skillet, microwave, griddle, or crockpot to reheat frozen tamales. They are a winner for every meal, from breakfast to dinner.

Frozen Vegetables. Toss together pasta with vegetables. Whip up a quick soup. Use vegetables as a side or main dish. A stash of frozen produce can help you eat vegetables all year round.

Frozen Fruits. Love berries, mangoes, and papaya? Grab these seasonal fruits whenever you’re shopping. They can save the day by being a quick dessert, smoothie, or topping on cereal.

Shop The Farmer’s Markets

Do you love eating healthy seasonal foods? If so, check out your local farmer’s markets. In almost every city, town, and region, you’ll find markets where you can shop directly from growers. Here you can find all sorts of things beyond food like local honey, oil, or maybe even cbd tablets. This helps you get reasonably priced produce. At the same time, pat yourself on the back for supporting local growers. Buying locally helps you snag some great deals on seasonal produce, ugly-looking produce, and hard-to-find heirloom varieties.

Plan Your Menu For The Week

Expert nutritionists from the Mayo clinic are big on menu planning. The logic makes sense. A menu plan helps reduce stress and worry. You can slash the habit of relying on fast food as a last-minute solution.  It’s a smart way to reduce mealtime stress and make cooking at home more fun. As you think about what to plan, look for ways to double up. In other words, bake a big tray of a vegetable pasta dish. Enjoy this for one meal and save the rest to reheat for a meal the next day.

Make Recipe Hunting a Family Affair

Share the joys of exploring different recipes, sampling new cuisines, and being adventurous in the cooking department.

Many families like to mount the computer or television on the wall, right in the kitchen or living room. You can use a monitor stand to ensure that everyone can see the screen, without it getting in the way of cooking activities. This is a great way to make it easy for the entire family to see recipes and cooking videos.

Try out a few different approaches if you haven’t shared recipe hunting as a family event. Nominate a single person in your family to find the dinner recipe for one day of the week. Collaborate to choose a specific type of cuisine for a week or month. Create a bulletin board for favorite dishes, so you know which ones you’d like to repeat.

By making recipe-hunting a family activity, you won’t feel like a martyr in the kitchen. It’s a great way to transform a solo activity of planning-shopping-preparing, into a group one.

Who knows, you may even discover that you’ve got a budding chef in your tribe.

Enjoy Eating Outdoors

While many of the ideas for healthy eating are about the content of the meal, be sure to look at the environment in which you’re eating. As the weather gets warmer, seek out opportunities to take a meal to the great outdoors. Check out local parks for picnic benches, tables, and grassy knolls. You might find some unusual and little-used locations to enjoy a meal with your partner, spouse, or family.

As you’re taking all these ideas together, what do you notice? With a little effort, it’s entirely possible to make healthy choices, spend less money, and spend less time on food preparation. Who knew that these three goals could work together to create more fun, more health, and more time to enjoy with your family?

What’s your top tip for eating healthy and spending less?
