Disney’s “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day” is based on a classic book written by Judith Viorst. It take you through a day of an 11 year old named Alexander (Ed Oxenbould) as he experiences the most terrible and horrible day of his young life where he encounters one mishap after another. But when Alexander shares his day with his his upbeat family they provided little sympathy and he begins to wonder if bad things only happen to him. However, he quickly learns that he’s not alone when his mom(Jennifer Garner), dad (Steve Carell), brother (Dylan Minnette) and sister (Kerris Dorsey) all find themselves living through their own terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day.

Growing up, I remember my mother reading me this book one day after I had a very bad day at school. At the time, I really couldn’t understand the significance of the book until I saw the film. Although the movie is hilarious, there are several examples that show children how they can manage potential bad days. I thought I would share them with you below:  Please feel free to share this with your friends by clicking on the share button to the left.

1) Always Remember, Family First:

As I was enjoying the film, I noticed how everything began to gel together once the Cooper family began to work together. So if you’re having a no good, very bad day always remember to surround yourself with ones who love you and support you. They will always help steer you into the right direction.

2) Stay Motivated:

Even if you find yourself in a scenarios where your face may be coated green or you happen to light your classroom on fire, try your best to stay optimistic. Ben Cooper, Alexander’s father kept a positive attitude throughout the movie and continued to encourage the family through out the events. Though they where having a horrible, no good, very bad day.

3) Things Will Get Better:

Towards the very end of the film, we’re reminded that even the worst of days do come to an end. Furthermore, although all of the odd seem to be against you  just remember that tomorrow will be better.
