Through the years, I’ve taking the kids to numerous pumpkin patches and I consider The Irvine Park Railroad Pumpkin Patch, the best pumpkin patch in Southern California. No matter if you live in Carson California or San Clemente California, if you want to create an enchanting memory with your child, you have to take a trip to Orange to visit this beautiful Pumpkin Patch.
Irvine Park Railroad’s 10th annual Pumpkin Patch is tucked inside of Irvine Regional Park in the foothills of Orange, California. I was blessed to take Joy there for the first time, and I consider this location to be remarkable. Not only do they have a wide selection of pumpkins to choose from but there are tons of activities for the kids.
Here’s 3 reasons The Irvine Park Railroad Pumpkin Patch is the best pumpkin patch in Southern California!
The Scenery
The Pumpkin Patch is located in Locomotive Loop and Miner’s Meadow just behind the train station. Thousands of pumpkins, in all shapes and sizes, fill the areas behind the train station. All visitors are sure to find the perfect pumpkin! It’s set in a gorgeous location that makes you feel like you are selecting freshly grown pumpkins. If you have a little one, just walking there is a cute little area filled with pumpkins that are just their size.
Tons of Activities
Unlike most location in the area, the Irvine Park Railroad Pumpkin Patch offers tons of activities that allow you to make a day out of your trip and create a lifelong memory with your kids. This year’s Pumpkin Patch activities include: Train rides, hay rides, panning for gold, a child-friendly haunted house, a hay maze, a moon bounce, pumpkin ring toss, carnival games, cookie decorating, John Deere tractor racers, face painting, picture stands, great food, and a lot more!

Halloween Photo Opportunities
So many people like to take photos of their kids in the studio to capture the perfect holiday photo. However, rather than spending at least $100 on staged photos, dress your little one up ( or bring their costume with you), take a remarkable photo and use the money towards building a special memory with your child at the pumpkin patch. As you can tell on my trip, I was able to find ton’s different locations to take cute pictures of Joy.
