3 Lessons You Will Learn From Disney’s Aladdin

The latest animated classic to get the live-action treatment, Aladdin, starring Will Smith, Naomi Scott, and Mena Massoud, may be slightly different from the original, but still has tons of key lessons for all of us to learn. If you plan on seeing Aladdin, enter the film with an open mind for Will Smith’s genie and avoid comparing it to Robin Williams iconic rendition of the Genie simply because Will isn’t trying to imitate what Robin perfected. After you’ve done this, then give your opinion. Regardless, you can hate it or love it as our team does.

Anywho, here are 3 Lessons You  Will Learn From Disney’s Aladdin:

Be Yourself: Aladdin jumps through leaps and bounds in order to impress Princess Jasmine. To Aladdin’s surprise, Jasmine liked who Aladdin was all along. If someone is truly into you, they will admire all of the things that make you attractive, as well as your faults.

You Choose Your Own Destiny: As simple as it’s put, you are in charge of your path and career and you shouldn’t let anyone detour you from going after your dreams. Jasmine has a particular goal that she is not allowed to pursue because it goes against her family’s traditions.  However, instead of following the mold she decides to stand up for her beliefs and by doing so she ultimately archives her goals. Bottom line, it’s your life, go after what you want!

Surround Yourself With Good People: Aladdin is joined by Abu, Magic Carpet, and Genie throughout his journey and travels. The people who Aladdin can call friends, support him and share the mutual desire to fulfill his goals. Having great friends who you can depend on will not only help you grow as a person but will invigorate you with positive energy and keep you focused on your goals, just like Aladdin.

Well, there you have it guys! Aladdin is out in theaters now, don’t miss your opportunity to see it! If you’re looking for more Aladdin coverage, be sure to look for it around the site or check out some of our other Spring pieces. Did you enjoy Will Smith’s genie? Let us know on social media.

Until Next Time
