A movie about fun, triumph, new learning and nostalgia too. If you’re wondering what I’m talking about it is the movie DreamWorks new film “Trolls” coming to theaters on Nov. 4th. There is tons of color, mayhem, scrapbooking, a felt texture feel and more.

I love this movie and wanted to share with you 3 Lesson Kids Will Learn from DreamWorks Trolls.

Self-Confident: Poppy, voiced by Anna Kendrick, is a character that will teach us all about being self-confident. Her tenacity and zeal is clear. Through her journey of wanting to help her fellow trolls, she remains optimistic throughout.

Find Your Inner Happiness: Bridget, voiced by Zooey Deschanel and Prince Gristle, voiced by Christopher Mintz-Plasse’s are both unhappy for different reasons. Bridget is unsure of herself, and Prince Gristle is just miserable. They both learn that happiness comes from within.

Stand by Your Friends: Branch may not have the best optimistic outlook but he does go along to help Poppy and he stick by her side till the end. In addition, he makes sure that no Troll is left behind.

Overall Trolls is a movie that will make you smile, laugh, fart glitter (you’ll see) and conjure memories. Kids will learn the meaning of self-confidence – to be proud of ’you’. Inner happiness is there inside you and supporting your friends.  Trolls isn’t just another family friendly movie. It is a movie of soul, substance, and sound. IT’s truly a must see movie. Enjoy! Dear Kathy,

I loved your post on 3 things kids can learn from the movie Trolls. As a teacher, I love the positive message of the movie and have created a movie guide that students interactive with as they watch the movie. I have found that when the movie is paused for a few minutes and students connect the ideas from the movies with their own life and experience it really drives home these lessons. I’d be honored if you would include a link to my movie guide in your Trolls post (https://mrskathyking.com/3-lessons-kids-will-learn-dreamworks-new-film-trolls/). I’d be happy to send you a complimentary movie guide for Trolls or any of the movies guides I have made at your request.

Thanks for the great positive post about trolls, with all the harmful media out there I always try to promote positive media to my students.
