Beauty and The Beast hold a special place in my heart. When Matt and I first started our courtship, Beauty and the Beast was the first Disney movie that we saw together. So when I saw the first Trailer for Disney Live Action version of Beauty and The Beast, I couldn’t wait to take my daughter Joy to see it.

Disney has done an excellent job transforming this classic into a movie you and the kids will love. The film includes the original scores with a few new songs. Also, since this is a live action film Disney able to bring the overall decor and whimsical characters to life in an exciting way and you will be captivated by the elaborate details in everything from castle decorations to the stunning costumes. While keeping to the story and characters we all come to love and kids will learn some wonderful lesson from the film.

Here are 3 Lessons kids will learn from Beauty and The Beast.

1) Acceptance
Bell learned how to be accepted the Beast through the relationship she develops with the magical castle’s servants. It today’s society it is easy for children to follow the pack instead of being independent. Which often is the root of bullying. Beauty and the Beast is a great portrayal of finding your inner self, voice, and strength and not falter.

2) Unconditional Love
Bell shows unconditional love for her father and the Beast through the sacrifice she makes for both of them. Unconditional love is a rarity in our world. The beautiful bond Bell has with her father and develops with the Beast is a prime example of how people should treat one another.

3) Confidence
Bell was ostracized in the village because she was a bookworm. However, her determination allowed her to pursue her dreams and do what she enjoyed not what other expected her to do. In a world where is it easier to follow verse lead, it takes a lot of courage to be the leader. However, by forging forward, you can accomplish everything your heart desire and this is the primary lesson kids will learn from Beauty and The Beast.

This looks like such a great reboot of a classic Disney movie. I am really excited to see it.
