3 Lesson You Will Learn From A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood (2019)

Last weekend we attend an advanced screening of  Sony Picture Studios’ new film A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood starring  Tom Hanks. The movie hits theaters November 22 and I plan on going to see it again. It’s truly an Oscar-worthy film! Tom Hanks did an incredible job portraying the beloved Fred Rogers American children’s television personality, puppeteer, author, and musician known for his program Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood. Growing up Mister Rogers and the characters who lived in his neighborhood taught us how to deal with our emotions, to be kind to others and so many other lessons. However, this movie gives us a peek inside of his life behind the scenes and how his beliefs affected others around him.

However, this movie gives us a peek inside of his life behind the scenes and how his beliefs affected others around him. Although Imonni did see the film and she paid attention to it, for the most part. The movie, I feel is for kids ages 12 and over.

Letting things Go – Let things go because life is too short to hold onto resentment and anger.

Managing Your Feeling  – How to deal with hurt feelings without hurting yourself or others.

Be Kind to Others – Ways to counter opposition and conflict through kindness.

Tom Hanks portrays Mister Rogers in A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, a timely story of kindness triumphing over cynicism, based on the true story of a real-life friendship between Fred Rogers and journalist Tom Junod. After a jaded magazine writer (Emmy winner Matthew Rhys) is assigned a profile of Fred Rogers, he overcomes his skepticism, learning about kindness, love, and forgiveness from America’s most beloved neighbor.
